During my search for other survivors, I have found the following sites, that you may find helpful.  They are not in any specific order, yet are all worth visiting.

www.mexicovacationawareness.com

This site is ran by the family of Nolan Webster, a 22 year old man who drowned at the Oasis resort in Cancun, Mexico, in January of 2007.

On Sunday, January 7th, 2007 less than 30 hours after his arrival at the Oasis Hotel, Nolan was dead. He was pulled from the 4 1/2 foot deep hotel pool alive but unconscious. This tragedy took place in the middle of the afternoon with a resort full of guests.  Nolan’s death is not only horrific, but also an unimaginable loss of a very special individual. We have since learned that Nolan is not the only U.S. victim that has died at this resort.”

There are several stories like Nolan’s on this site and all are worth sharing.

Spring Break in Mexico

A Spring Break specific “Know Before You Go”

Florida Tourism Website: "Alert-Travel to Mexico"

“One would think that with the amount of tourist dollars flowing into Cancun (by Americans) that those who manage and operate law enforcement in Cancun, would be up to the task to protect that investment. The U.S. Consular Agency in Cancun has reported that rapes occur nightly in hotel rooms. No doubt, a number of these rapes take place due to the fact that you have 120,000 teenagers running about the place during Spring Break and these rapes are fueled by alcohol. However, there have been reports of rapes perpetrated by taxi drivers and hotel workers. “

CIAM Cancun

This site and it’s organization are both ran by Lydia Cacho.

“We are here… women and men of CIAM CANCUN to restore our own souls while walking the path with survivors of violence. Our dream is to build a safe country for all. To recall our dignity”
